Lora Cecere
CEO, Supply Chain Insights
Lora Cecere – In February 2012, I started my own research firm Supply Chain Insights, which is paving new directions in building thought-leading supply chain research. Our research is designed for the early adopter seeking first mover advantage. Prior work experience includes 30 years of diverse supply chain experience. This includes 9 years as an industry analyst with Gartner Group, AMR Research, and Altimeter Group, 15 years as a leader in the building of supply chain software at Manugistics and Descartes Systems Group, and several years as a supply chain practitioner at Procter & Gamble, Kraft/General Foods, Clorox, and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream (now a division of Nestlé). My first book Bricks Matter was published in December 2012 and now has 15 five-star reviews posted on Amazon.com. I am also the author of the enterprise software blog Supply Chain Shaman. The blog focuses on the use of enterprise applications to drive supply chain excellence. As an enterprise strategist, I focus on the changing face of enterprise technologies.
Education includes B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennslyvania, I have also completed post-graduate work in organizational development from Georgetown University. Certifications include APICS CIRM and CPIM and is a past teacher of effective marketing concepts for software executives in the Pragmatic Marketing program.
I have a true passion for gardening, textiles of all types (quilting, knitting, and weaving), photography and dancing. I also enjoy building my home on a farm in West Virginia.

Retired Global Director, Supply Network Operations – Procter & Gamble
Having completed a 33-year career with the Procter & Gamble Company, Jake became a principal and CEO with BlueWorld Supply Chain Consulting LLC., where he now provides consulting support to a cross section of top Fortune 500 companies.
During his tenure with P&G he directed the Global Supply Network Design efforts, in addition to being the discipline Director for Supply Network Operations.
Jake began his career with P&G in Finance in Risk Analysis and then moved into Operations. He has worked across the breadth of P&G’s business units during his career. One of the architects for P&G’s demand driven supply strategy, this work has become the key enabler to P&G’s efforts to make the consumer and shopper the primary focus of the supply network. He has experience in building supply network capability globally through leadership assignments in Asia, Latin America and North America.
Led business transformation project which reengineered P&G’s end to end planning operations (5,000+ employees) into eight world class integrated planning centers generating nearly $500MM in ongoing savings and next generation.
He currently serves as:
- Research Associate for MIT and a member of Supply Chain 2020 Industry Advisory Council;
- Member of Gartner’s Supply Chain Think Tank;
- Consumer Goods Advisory Panel;
- Board member of Industry Global Supply Chain Talent & Academic Initiative;
- Named Transformational Leader of the Year at SCM Leaders on Demand Summit – 2013

Cheryl Campbell left the non-profit sector in Canada to join Eileen Fisher in 2004. As the Managing Director of the Eileen Fisher Community Foundation she helped launch GREEN EILEEN, a recycled clothing initiative. She now works as the Senior Advisor to GREEN EILEEN and continues as a connecting partner to the EILEEN FISHER Social Consciousness team, where she co-leads the Women’s Business Grant program. GREEN EILEEN is a take-back program, which has collected over 400,000 gently worn EILEEN FISHER garments since 2008.

In this role, he has responsibility for distribution, inventory, production planning, Supply Chain strategy and Supply Chain Talent Management. Prior to this role, Yone was the Director of Planning for the Dairy Foods division of Land O’Lakes, Inc. Before joining Land O’Lakes, Yone spent 12 year traveling extensively throughout the world as a Supply Chain consultant working in the food, chemical and agriculture industries. Prior to that, he worked for Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Chemical companies for 15 years.

At Jabil, Inc, the world’s 3rd largest contract manufacturer, John is responsible for directing their global automation business. Prior to Jabil, he served as President & Chief Executive Officer at Adept Technology, Inc. where he also served as President and Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Robotics. His prior experience includes many years of experience in robotics. John will be speaking on “The Robot Factory Future” and the future of manufacturing for Jabil.

David brings over 20 years of enterprise software experience to his role as Gigwalk’s CEO. Before Gigwalk, David worked for a variety of technology companies in senior roles including E2open, SCM Microsystems (now Identiv), and Solectron (now Flextronics) in various management positions, as the company grew from $250 million to $2 billion. David began his career as a consultant at Bain and Company. David holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and MA and MBA degrees from Stanford University. He will be speaking on how to empower the crowd to drive supply chain results.

Supply Chain Expert - Independent Advisor
With over 29 years’ experience, Maeve has accumulated a wealth of international experience, in both public and private sectors. She has worked across different Supply Chain functional areas for multi-national organizations including Dell, Tippingpoint and Capgemini and in the development space for CHAI. More recently Maeve was the CEO for the largest privately owned 3PL in Africa (RTT TransAfrica now Imperial Health Sciences) before returning to a role as an independent advisor working with global donors advocating for and designing interventions for better supply chain management in developing countries and the inclusion of the private sector in solving the supply chain challenges.

Director, Supply Chain Execution & Global Logistics at Eastman Chemical Company
His current organization is responsible for developing and supply chain strategies for three of Eastman’s businesses as well as managing the corporate global logistics operations, logistics procurement, logistics compliance and customer trade for Eastman’s businesses. His responsibilities also include North America customer service and a global center of excellence organization which is responsible for corporate supply chain and logistics innovation, systems, integrations and process support. Kevin has more than 35 years’ experience in a variety of supply chain and logistics roles and has held leadership positions in all four regions of the world for Eastman. Prior to this assignment, Kevin was Director, Global Supply Chain Strategy and North America Execution for Eastman supporting multiple Eastman businesses. Kevin has a wife and 24 year old son and is based at the Eastman Chemical corporate headquarters in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Partner with the Demand Driven Institute
Carol Ptak is currently a partner with the Demand Driven Institute, and was most recently at Pacific Lutheran University as Visiting Professor and Distinguished Executive in Residence. Previously, she was vice president and global industry executive for manufacturing and distribution industries at PeopleSoft where she developed the concept of demand driven manufacturing (DDM). Ms. Ptak is also a past president of APICS and has authored several books on MRP, ERP, Lean and Theory of Constraints (TOC).

Kehat Shahar leads the Supply and Demand planning function within SanDisk Worldwide Operations where he is responsible for global production planning, capacity planning and customer collaboration to meet customer requirements for the entire company. He also manages revenue-planning guidance for Operations and the SanDisk Business Units.

VP North American Logistics and Customer Service
As the VP of North American Logistics and Customer Service, Andrea Turner’s responsibilities are to effectively partner with USRO leadership to ensure supply and service. To enable a seamless Supply Chain, She and her Team of 500 work with General Mills production facilities, a network of 170+ external production facilities, and numerous key suppliers. Key accountabilities for Andrea include Transportation, Warehousing, Supply Planning and Inventory control.
Andrea joined General Mills in January, 2008 as Director of Contract Manufacturing Logistics, before transiting to Channel Operations assignments starting in September, 2008. Prior to joining General Mills, Andrea’s spent 19 years in various Supply Chain roles at Merck & Co Inc., a leading Pharmaceutical and Vaccine company.

Executive Director of Big Data & Chief Corporate Analytic Officer at Lenovo
Anthony Volpe joined Lenovo in 2013 as the Executive Director of Big Data & Chief Corporate Analytic Officer. He is responsible for building strategy and driving initiatives to advance the world’s largest PC manufacturer as a leading consumer brand. Under his leadership, Lenovo and its customers have recognized significant gains from analytics in a wide range of areas, including product development, quality, pricing, marketing, customer engagement and supply chain. Volpe came to Lenovo after a successful tenure with SAS Institute where he was Director for Analytics Advancement within the Retail and Manufacturing Business Unit. He has also spent time in analytics with Ford Motor Company. Volpe received his B.S. in Mathematics from Duke University, and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard.
